Having spent much of the year promoting her most recent novel "A Web of Murder" Yvonne is now working hard on the production of the third book in the series. As with her previous books the new novel features Jonathan Adams and his investigate team. The Isle of Sheppey and the South East of England will once again feature in the story.

Out NOW! - Yvonne's second novel, A Web of Murder. Featuring Jonathan Adams and his investigative team. Purchase from Amazon - Click Here

A Web of Murder is a gritty, witty contemporary take on the police thriller – a bleak, recognisable view of modern Britain shot through with the gallows humour of the career copper and flashes of Provencal sunshine.

Friends, lovers, family, colleagues – who can you trust?

Following an invitation from Elaine Everest of the "The Write Place - Creative Writing School Yvonne attended the Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford in Kent.

During the evening Yvonne spoke about the difficulties she encountered in getting started and the help she received from fellow author Alex Mabon. She outlined the various routes available to up and coming authors and the highs and many lows associated with publishing her own work.

Both of the novels that Yvonne has produced to date have been published by Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Limited, under their Vanguard print.

Both novels " A Time to Die" and "A Web of Murder"
are available on Amazon.

The Rainham Book Shop has been very supportive.

Yvonne is seen here with family and friends at a book signing.

Yvonne Hughes lives in Kent with her husband Gordon.  Her grown up children Nichola and Jonathan live in dread of being featured in her work (little do they know).

A weaver of tales and stories from the moment she learned to speak, a prerequisite being the eldest of six, beating her identical twin into the world by twenty minutes.

Her interest in the effects of crime and deviance began when she studied with the Open University, gaining a BA in Social Sciences. Yvonne knows her subject well and uses her own background in terms of time and place in all her novels so that they have a resonance and a truth that sets them apart.
